A visionary entrepreneur – The late Sri. C.V.Ponnu, father of Mr. C.P.Kailashdev, started his career as a small time construction contractor way back in the 1950's in his hometown in Kerala. He built several rural houses, irrigation systems etc. He was an exceptional human being, who envisioned the development of his hometown.
Following the footsteps of his father, Mr. C.P.Kailashdev founded the Manikanda Group in 1980. He started his construction activities in Bangalore at the age of 25. He procured several contracts from the Kudremukh iron ore company, Karnataka soaps & detergents limited etc.
Later on, Manikanda group completed many Brewery & Distillery units for the UB group, Shaw Wallace & company, Mohan Meakin, and other brewery majors. Mr. Kailashdev partnered with the UB group for a long period and he was known as one of the preferred engineering & construction contractors of honourable Sri. Vittal Mallya, the then chairman of the UB group.
The group further took on various Petrochemical & Petroleum works for Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum, Petronet, Dodsal etc.
Manikanda Group forayed to become the pioneer in the sectors of Urban Infrastructure, Industrial Infrastructure, and Real estate development, offering long-term growth potential.
